Gangotri

The Temple of the Gangotri is dedicated to Goddess Ganga, It is situated on the bank of Ganga River at an altitude of 3100 m (10200 ft) above the sea level, in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. 

Gangotri

Gangotri is the origin of Ganga river, which is merge of Bhagirathi River and Alaknanda River at devprayag to form River GangaGangotri is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites of Uttarakhand along with Badrinath, Kedarnath and Yamunotri. 

Gangotri is deeply associate with Hindu mythology, that the Goddess Ganga come down from the Heaven to purify the earth and pilgrims believe that a dip in the Ganga River can wash all of our sins and bring blessings.

Gaumukh 

Gaumukh is the origin point of the Bhagirathi River which later becomes the part of Ganga River, it is located at the mouth of the Gangotri Glacier in the Uttarkashi district of the Uttarakhand India and  situated at an High Altitude of 4023 m (13200 ft) approx above the sea Level, It is about 18 km from the Gangotri.  

Pandava Gufa 

Pandava Gufa is about 2 km approx from the Gangotri, It is the short uphill trek from the Gangotri Temple which is surrounded with dense forest. Pandava Gufa is the natural cave, where the pandavas stay here and do meditation.   

Bhairon Ghati

Bhairon Ghat is located about 6 km approx from the Gangotri, The main attraction of Bhairon Ghati is Bhairon Nath Temple, dedicated to the Lord Bhairav. It is believed  that the Bhairon Nath protects the Gangotri Region and pilgrimage of the temple.

Kedartal

Kedartal is a spectacular glacial lake located about 17 km approx from the gangotri. it situated at an high altitude of about 4750 m (15583 ft) above the sea level. The lake is form by the Kedar Glacier
